❓ Please introduce yourself to the readers! Tell us a bit about your family and your career!
🗣 Hi, my name is Áron. I am 17 years old and was born in Switzerland on February 8, 2007. Both of my parents were born in Hungary and later moved to Switzerland. I started playing football in 2014 at a small club. In 2020, I joined FC Thun, where I played until this season. Now, I am looking forward to new challenges. This summer, my family and I are moving to Morocco, where I will continue playing football.
❓ How does it feel to live and play football in Switzerland?
🗣 Switzerland is a very beautiful country with excellent healthcare, a strong economy, and a great education system. Youth football academies in Switzerland are at a high level, providing great opportunities for learning and development. The coaches and facilities are excellent, both on and off the pitch. At my last club, they invested not only in the quality of play but also in off-field improvements, such as video analysis. I think this focus on quality is characteristic of Switzerland.
❓What are your short- and long-term goals in football? Is there a particular club or league where you would especially like to play in the future?
🗣 My short-term goal is to prove myself and settle into the team in Morocco. I want to learn a lot and work hard to achieve my dream of becoming a professional footballer. My long-term goal is to play in one of the top five leagues in the world. My ultimate dream is to play for FC Barcelona because I have been a huge fan of the club since childhood.
❓ If you have the chance, do you watch Hungarian football? Do you have a favorite Hungarian team?
🗣 Since Hungarian league matches are not broadcast in Switzerland, I rarely watch Hungarian teams play. However, I do occasionally follow Ferencváros matches and even watched them live when they played against YB (Young Boys Bern). Whenever a Hungarian team plays in the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League, I enjoy supporting them.
❓ There was a recent Switzerland vs. Hungary match. Did you watch it? What was the atmosphere on the matchday?
🗣 Yes, I watched the match live in Cologne. It was a very strange but special feeling to see these two teams play against each other. Knowing both cultures and languages made the experience unique for me. The atmosphere was fantastic, and everything was very peaceful.
❓ Do you have a role model?
🗣 My biggest role model is Lionel Messi. I have admired him since childhood, and for me, he is the greatest footballer of all time. His style of play is breathtaking. It was because of his football that I fell in love with the sport.
❓ What do you enjoy doing in your free time when you are not training or playing?
🗣 I don't have much free time, as football takes up most of it. Even in my free time, I focus on football and regularly go to the gym. However, when I do find some time, I enjoy playing the piano, which helps me relax and unwind from everyday life. I also like to meet up with friends.
❓ Which national team would you choose to represent: Switzerland or Hungary? Why?
🗣 I have asked myself this question many times, and I can say that I would choose to represent Hungary. I think it has a lot to do with my family background—I feel more Hungarian. I would be very proud to represent Hungary.
