❓ 1. Please introduce yourself to the readers! Tell us a bit about yourself, your family, and your football journey so far?
🗣 Hello everyone! My name is Benedek Kimmel, I was born in 2009 and I play as a centre-back. I moved to Germany with my family when I was one year old. I started playing football at the age of four, and when I was ten, TSV 1860 Munich noticed me. I've been playing at their academy ever since, and I'm currently a key player in the U16 team.
❓ 2. What does it feel like to play at the TSV 1860 academy?
🗣 It's a great feeling to play for 1860 Munich because we face strong teams regularly. It's also a historic club with a special fanbase. I enjoy life in Germany — I've learned a lot here, especially about football and mentality.
❓ 3. What are your short- and long-term goals in football? Is there a club or league where you'd especially like to play in the future?
🗣 In the short term, my goal is to become an important player in the U17 Bundesliga and to get an opportunity in the U17 national team. Long term, I want to earn a professional contract. My dream is to play in Serie A one day.
❓ 4. Do you watch Hungarian football when you have the chance? Do you have a favourite Hungarian team?
🗣 I always watch the Hungarian national team's matches. Besides that, I mostly follow cup games and I also keep an eye on Honvéd, since my family is originally from Kispest.
❓ 5. Do you have a role model?
🗣 I don't have a specific role model, but there are players I admire — like Szoboszlai and Van Dijk. I try to learn from their strengths, especially their mentality.
❓ 6. What do you like to do in your free time, when you're not training or playing?
🗣 I don't have much free time, but when I do, I focus on recovery and recharging. I enjoy spending time with friends, and I also work a lot on my mental development — I'm currently part of a mental training program.
❓ 7. What does it feel like to represent Hungary in youth national teams?
🗣 It's a huge honour to wear my country's jersey and step onto the pitch. I've enjoyed every minute of my national team matches so far, and I always feel proud to represent Hungary.
